Jason Hughes

I'm Jason Hughes. I've been making coding since the mid-80's, a professional video game developer since 1995, and written just a tremendous amount of different kinds of software: math, shaders, 3D engines, tools, servers, and games. I'm a published author, both fiction and non-fiction. I started a few small companies, putting food on the table for families for years. Today I work on projects I find interesting. Recently, that was blockchain, kubernetes, LLMs, and building my own game engine from scratch. Again.

Mooncast

Mooncast Productions is a complicated project. We started off as a small team working fast in 2024. That was a bad time to find funding (maybe it always will be?). I feel compelled to finish what I started. I'm GenX, I can't help it. The universe currently exists as a novel, a couple of games in development, and the plan for a podcast in all that copious spare time.
